Hope you can help, I’ve presently got a live bank feed which is working successfully from 11/09/2014, I’ve downloaded the bank feed plugin via chrome, which has let me enter into Barclays to export data with the quickfile icon showing , this is when I reach my problem when I enter the dates for the period I wish to up load i.e. 01/01/2014 to 10/09/2014 prior to live bank feed, Barclays flashes up stating I can only export data from 12/12/2014 ? I’ve checked the statements and they are visible but only as a pdf, I cannot even download via csv. I’ve closed down and tried again and Barclays shows the same message any ideas please.
This is a limitation of Barclays. You can go quite far back with the PDF statements (I think mine go back around 4 years) but the actual live feed and CSV are for recent activity only.
Does this mean I have to manually enter all the transactions from the bank statements ?
As far as I am aware, unfortunately yes.
When did you start using Quickfile? Do you need to input all historic bank transactions?
I’m trying to complete the first years accounts commencing 01/01/2014 ending 31/12/2014, started using quick file live bank feeds on 11/09/2014, I’ve entered all receipts and invoices and onto try to reconcile bank statements for the same period, I wasn’t worried till today as I understood I could load up the historic bank statements, now I’m in a right mess! I’ve just downloaded all pdf’s that’s a lot of manual entering to do, I was loving quick file till now I’ve set up all my tagging it was looking great. I don’t understand really why it won’t import the data apart from the fact Barclays have converted the bank statements to pdf if they just left them as csv from what I’ve read I could of still up loaded them onto quickfile.
I agree this is a painful limitation, especially when you’re trying to bring your books up to date. There is a Barclays Ideas forum (called Your Bank). Here is the relevant request you can add your vote to:
I would also recommend adding your vote here as well, this will improve the way we obtain bank feeds if implemented.

I was hoping I was wrong and you would point me into the right direction of uploading the statements.
I have indeed posted comments onto both Barclays forums, I can see this problem cropping up time and time again.
