Filing Return with HMRC

Hi,

I’m new to quick file and looking to use it to file my Self Assessment Tax Return. The only options I can find are for VAT returns but I’m not VAT registered.

Is it not possible for Self Employed Sole Traders to use QuickFile for this function?

I’m sorry if I’m missing something extremely obvious.

Hi @JenniferSarah

It’s not possible to file a self assessment through QuickFile at this time I’m afraid, only the VAT returns.

However, as HMRC moves into MTD (Making Tax Digital), it’s likely that this will be something we will look at over the coming months, or at least make it easier to do.

All I can suggest for the time being is to file it manually and keep an eye on the forums for updates.
