Final VAT return after de-registration

Hello,

I de-registered from VAT on the 9th of August. I’ve removed the VAT setting from Quick File, so all new invoices are now VAT-free, which is fine. However, when I try to complete my last VAT return in quickfile, it says I’m not VAT registered. How can I do the last VAT return while I’m no longer VAT registered?

Hello @mbong

You have to have your vat details entered in order to do a submission so that it knows you were registered.

You can re enter your vat reg number in the vat settings screen to do the submission then removed it afterwards.
