"Forward slash" no longer available for Client/Supplier naming

“Forward slash” no longer available for client naming!

I have been creating a new client which involves both Welsh and English versions where a forward slash to seperate the two versions has been used i.e. CYNGOR SIR YNYS MÔN / ISLE OF ANGLESEY COUNTY COUNCIL.

However, today when setting up another Council client the “/” forward slash although on entry of the data seems saved when returning to the client details the forward slash has disappeared.

Currently to separate the two language versions I have used a hyphen "CYNGOR TREF BORTHAETHWY - MENAI BRIDGE TOWN COUNCIL, but would prefer to continue with the method that was previously available.

Why is a forward slash no longer allowed in client naming? This also applies to supplier naming.

Hello @alan_mcbrien

I have asked the development team to look into this for you

Amended subject line to include suppliers as found that has the same problem. I use F/STN to signify a Fuel (Filling) Station when naming suppliers of fuel. @QFSteve would you pass this on to the development team. Thanks Alan

This issues should now be resolved
