Getting 500 Server error when confirming HMRC Authorisation

I was making my VAT return as I have done for years.
I think my session timed out.

I logged back in and it said my HRMC account auth had failed.

I followed instructions to delete the failed one and recreate a new one
I can get as far as pushing the Authorise button on the HMRC site but when I do that I get the attached 500 error.

Without the authorised link I cant create a VAT return

It looks like it was a temporary issue on HMRC’s side.
