Feature requested When Updating Terms on the Invoicing Template, I need a way to update all recurring templates.
I naively assumed that when you updated the Terms, they would propagate to all new invoices. They don’t so all our recurring templates (we have 252) need to be manually updated. This involves 5 clicks per template.
Typical use case Updating the design or terms of business. This si a routine aspect of business.
How I would expect it to work A model to prompt the user to say “You have just updated your Terms and conditions would you like to update all recurring templates to use the new Terms. Yes/No
You would have to do it in 2 batches, if you have a Power User Subscription (change the page limit to 150 per page before updating it). But would that work in your case?
If that was going to be done, it would be better if it was possible if a template could refence block(s) of text and the data only held centrally; You’d need to have a way of numbering a block of text and the template would need to have a way of linking to that numbered block of text.
You could just store your terms on your website and have the link to them on the invoices etc. Only need to update the terms etc in one place then regardless of how QF do it and also regardless of how many different services or providers you use.
Thank you, I didn’t see this, it’s a bit obscure. What I mean by that is there is no advice in the template that now that you have updated terms, you may want to update recurring.
