Hello, we have two different Quickfile accounts for two different sides of the business. Some of our clients are being invoiced from both accounts, so i have been taking the authorisation code from our Nexolutions account and copying it to set up the Direct Debit on the NexPay Quickfile account. This has worked for all of my clients so far as they have received emails asking for confirmation. There is only one client of ours that the authorisation hasn’t worked for - Sauna Shop.
If you have linked each QF account to the same GoCardless account, you should be able to go into any client record and pull out the pre-authorisation ID, then copy this to the second QF account. Is this what you’ve done?
Yes, i have taken the Authorisation code from the first QF and copied it into the second QF account, however it keeps telling me the Authorisation code isn’t valid. Yet the code on the first QF is the same as the code on the Go Cardless account.
Let me have a quick look and I’ll get back to you.
EDIT:
Your two accounts appear to be connected to two different GoCardless accounts. In each account go to Account Settings >> Payment Options. You will see two different merchant IDs.
I see what you mean, for example i used the Pre Auth from the Nexolutions QF and then the payment from Technical Marine Supplies went to the NexPay Gocardless. However with Sauna Shop the payment hasn’t even been made to the NexPay Gocardless account, so there is an issue with this one client.
With Sauna shop, i used the pre-auth code from the Nexolutions QF and copied it onto the NexPay QF. With other clients i did the same and the payment was made to the NexPay Gocardless account, whereas Sauna Shop hasn’t had their payment taken, could you please advise?
All I can see here is that those two different QF accounts are connected to two different GoCardless accounts. I don’t know why the other pre-auths works, maybe GoCardless have connected the accounts on their side?
I would recommend quoting the Merchant IDs and pre-auth ID with GoCardless to see what they say. All we do is connect to their API and they accept or reject any pre-auth. Any information you can get from them would help here.
