HEIC support for receipt hub

Is support for HEIC image format on the horizon? .heic image files are not pulled from Dropbox into receipt hub. If you set a newer iPhone to save as .jpg instead then the file size is usually too large (>5MB) for Quickfile and they also remain stuck in the Dropbox folder. .heic files will generally be around half the size.
I am currently having to ‘down-res’ image files and re-save to Dropbox which is very inconvenient.

Hi @andythornton

There are no plans at the moment, but I’ve moved your post to a #feature and will feed this back to our development team.

If there are any changes, we’ll update you here.

Ok thanks.
In the meantime do you have any suggestions to make things more convenient?
Perhaps allowing a larger file size for Dropbox>Receipt Hub import or some easier compression method for larger files?
Newer iPhones don’t allow down-res of the camera for photos so it’s a bit of a pickle (thanks apple :-/ )

Hi

If you use your phone anyway why don’t you use the Quickfile app. You can take the photo of the receipt and create the purchase invoice.

Mainly because it’s more operations than with the native camera app/upload.
