It’s that time again when the HMRC Link Authority needs renewing.
I have searched around but cannot find a definitive Step-by-Step Quickfile guide to doing this.
What should I do first ? Can the old link be disconnected/deleted now? It’s generally advice on the order of the actions to take.
If a step by syep manual exists could you please point me to the link?

The option should be listed in QuickFile.
Reports > HMRC, there should be an option to “renew”.
You are then redirected to HMRC pages to authorise.

The main thrust of my question was the order in which to do things.
Shoud I Disconnect the current link FIRST and/or delete it before proceeding to HMRC to renew or do it after renewing? I made a right mess of it last time and you guys had to sort it.

You shouldn’t have to disconnect just go to Reports > HMRC, there should be an option to “renew”.
