How do I record income from a waged job?

I’m taking on a 3-month fixed term contract, where I will be an employee and be paid a pro-rata salary.

In the meantime I will also be doing ad-hoc freelance jobs which I will invoice in the usual way.

How can I record on QuickFile the income from my employment?

You don’t.

QuickFile just records your income/expenses/profit for self-employed freelance work. Your employed job will report through their PAYE scheme. When you come to complete your tax return at the end of the year that’s where it combines your self-employed profits plus your employed income to get your total taxable pay, then deducts anything you’ve already paid through PAYE to get the final tax owed or refund due.
