How to compress files in Camscanner

Apologies for the basic nature of this I am new to the process. As advised I have downloaded Camscanner - not via the link in the post I found as this no longer works - and upgraded to the premium account. As a trial I have only scanned a month’s worth of receipts but they will not upload - I am assuming this is due to their being too large but I cannot find any advice or guidance on how exactly I go about compressing them - I see it is in the checklist but cannot find the “how to do it” advice. I have linked to my dropbox account and a small number of receipts have uploaded into it but I can only assume that this will be all I am able to upload due to their size?
Advice on how to compress those already in camscanner as well as how to compress future scans would be much appreciated.
Many thanks
Bryony

Hi @CiderHouse

How big are the files individually? As long as they are under 5MB each, there shouldn’t be any issues.

If you have saved them as PDFs, there are some ways you can try to compress them (there are a few guides on Google regarding this), but I don’t believe this is possible with Camscanner. You may however be better off asking them directly.

Once you save the files to your Dropbox folder, do you also see them on dropbox.com in the Apps\Quick File Receipts\ folder?

Many thanks for your reply, apologies again as this is not my forte, I am not aware of how I can ascertain the size of the files? I followed your guide, making them black and white and linking the drop box account but it then mentions compressing and having hunted I cannot find any way to do this? About 7 pdfs transferred to Dropbox in the QuickFile folder but have not appeared in the receipt hub so I was assuming they must have been too big? The only size alteration I can see is A4 A5 etc would this make a difference. With so many of your customers using this app I am sure I am just missing something simple but I just don’t seem to be able to figure out what? Many thanks for your assistance!

The size of the page (A4, A5 etc.) would affect the file size (which is what we mean when we refer to size), but I don’t believe your files would hit the limit unless they’re several pages long.

Let me send you a private message as we can check the file size from our end. Please look for a green notification in the top right corner.
