How to deal with Paypal account verification fees

Sorry to start yet another thread about PayPal queries :blush:

When I set up the PayPal merchant account, I added the company debit card as “funding”. In order to verify me/account PayPal took a £1 debit off the current account and supplied me a verification code for PayPal. Several days later the £1 was re-credited to the current account.

I appreciate that the overall net value is zero but I have two transactions sitting on my current account which need to be tagged.

Tagging it as a transfer to/from the PayPal account, or to/from Misc income should be acceptable.

As the otherall net effect is £0.00, it won’t really affect your account (unless the two happened in different financial periods).
