How to I allocate an Employer Pension payment to the previous financial year?

Our Financial year ended 31st October 2024. We made a pension payment to an Employees pension on 1st November 2024. I want to allocate this as an expense for the previous financial year to reduce Corporation Tax liability for 2023/2024.

How do I do it? I know that has something to do with journals, but I am not exactly sure how. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Please be aware that the support team are not registered accountants and as such would not be able to answer your query. I would reccomend consulting your accountant for the relevant journals to post.
