How to Move Xero to Quickfile

I have recommended Quickfile to two clients and they are both on xero.

I have found the article describing how to move from Xero to QF
https://support.quickfile.co.uk/t/importing-data-from-another-system/8936

But I have a question in regards to the historic Invoices and accounts. Do you have to maintain old accountancy software or can this be exported and imported?

Hello @MearTech

You can export and import the invoices

Be sure to adjust your trial balance before importing it to account for for these outstanding invoices so you do not double up on the values. in the debtors and creditors etc.

So there is no need to hang on to the losing Account software then?
In this case Xero

Hello @MearTech

As long as you have exports of your trial balance and outstanding sales and purchase invoices you can import them.

I’m not sure if you need to keep your old account as an archive.

With QuickFile if you leave you can take a backup which is a csv export of all of your ledgers

Example

If you search Xero help, there are several articles on what you need to do / export if you are leaving Xero, including exporting the TB, debtors and creditors, etc. You may wish to ask your accountant to do this, as they will ensure everything gets moves across correctly.
