How to read performance of a public company

I’d like to understand the very basics of understanding how a company is doing financially.

Are there are websites that provide a basic and clear report of a UK companies financial performance (e.g. profit).

Is it possible to glean how well a company is doing purely from a report like these? Where the main metrics seem to be: cash, net work, total current assets, total current labilities
