How to reinstate a Direct debit for a recurring invoice

Hi there,

I have a client that was already pre-authorised with Direct Debit via GoCardless and was paying me every month for over two years via recurring invoice. He has however now changed his bank account details so when it came to Go cardless taking the money, of course the Direct debit was cancelled. Is there any way that the same recurring invoice can be kept, but have the client change his account details? Even if the client was to amend his details via gocardless, would the recurring invoice still work? or is there something that needs to be done so that the payment will continue to be taken normally?

I believe with GoCardless your client can just go and change the bank account detail on their GoCardless control panel. If you have a pre-existing Direct Debit, you shouldn’t need to do anthing.
