HSBC Bank Feed Error

Hi,

I am trying to download a bank statement (xls format) to my desktop from HSBC and get the following error

“Export Failed!
Incorrect account number or authentication key. Please ensure you have enabled file imports on your Quick File account and the credentials supplied are correct.”

I am not trying to upload the file to QF. Just export from HSBC to my desktop.

If I disable the QF bank feed extension I am able to download the xls statement.

PS: Download of a pdf works.

Please help

Thanks

Hi @raj1

This sounds like the QuickFile Chrome extension. Can I just confirm that you are clicking “Export” on the HSBC page rather than “Export to QuickFile”?

Sending to your transactions to QuickFile should only be triggered when you click the “Export to QuickFile” button.

Hi,

I am clicking the “Download” button not the “Export to Quickfile” button

I will need to ask our development team to investigate this. It may be down to a change in the HSBC website. You may wish to disable the chrome plugin for the time being which would prevent these warnings from showing going forward.

Ok. Thank you

PS: it’s the https://www.business.hsbc.co.uk/ site.

Another issue,

When the chrome plugin is activated and we log into HSBC https://www.business.hsbc.co.uk/
after entering the “username” and click on “continue” the next page for “password” and “security code” comes up with the error:

“There is a problem with your login credentials”
“Error on page. Please enter your Password and Security Code. (LOG_0007)”

This seems like that the plugin is automatically actions the “continue” button on the second (username and security code) page.

Are you entering your details into the QuickFile plugin before trying to log in, or are they blank?

I am not using HSBC for bank feeds. So the QF plugin fields are blank for HSBC

The plugin will automatically activate on any of the support banks. I would recommend either setting it up for HSBC, or if you’re not using it at all, remove it.

You may also want to consider the Yodlee feed which could save you a few clicks, and in some cases, will be autoed completely.
