iKentoo, and how to invoice through Quickfile

Hi

Recent new till system in place (iKentoo). I get a daily reading (see photo’s). Firstly I have some account customers that get invoiced at the end of the month. I wish to invoice them through Quickfile so they have the option of paying online. Which do I record as the DAYS readings from the iKentoo reports? The net or gross?

Creating an invoice in quickfile will add on sales that the iKentoo software records. I hope this makes sense?!

I don’t use this particular system but I have a similar set up with a different EPOS. I use the equivalent of your “tax report” to create the sales invoice on the QuickFile side. I just add up the net figures from all the tax rates and enter one line in QuickFile with that as the net and with the VAT rate set to 20%, then manually adjust the actual VAT total to match the tax report (in my case the VAT will always be well below 20% of the net as about three quarters of my sales are zero rated).

I then use my Z readings (the equivalent of your “Net result (Takings)”) to assign partial payments to the invoice for cash and cards.

But you’re right that in your situation if you include the account customers within the daily takings invoice then you’ll end up accounting for them twice. You’d need to extract the details from your EPOS to tell you exactly how much net and VAT belongs to each “account customer” transaction, and deduct those from the main invoice total.
