I'm a freelance journalist with very basic invoicing and payment system - can someone help me to navigate what to do?

Hi, I’m a freelance sole trader journalist. I have just six clients such as News UK and Telegraph. I’m using Quickfile as I had to become VAT registered. My accounts are so simple to work with that I don’t even need to invoice 95 per cent of the time, my clients such as a news desk, will put my payment onto their system, hits my bank account maximum one month later. I usually get paid very promptly and the VAT is already added, no need to invoice. In the last decade, I’ve just kept a word document with my clients on, the stories I’ve sold and the date, and then I update it when I’ve been paid. It couldn’t be simpler. Any ideas how I can use Quickfile painlessly, as I just don’t need 95 per cent of the features on there. Thanks for any help

Hi,
a good start point is by reading the knowledge base >> Getting Started

Hi @chriswhite

Further to what @rhc has said, if you can’t find the information you’re looking for in the Knowledge Base, or if you have specific questions on how to do certain things, feel free to post on the forum and either QFSupport, or another user will hopefully be able to answer it for you.
