Issues allocating a refund

I am trying to allocate a refund to a client via the bank feed. Issue I am having is the invoice is not coming up in the drop down when trying to allocate it. The amount of the refund is the exact same as whats on the invoice and the match exact amount box doesnt bring up the invoice either.

You can not allocate a refund in this way.

  • Open the invoice > More Options > Credit note (amend as appropriate).
  • Save and you will be prompted to refund the credit.
  • Once refunded, delete the duplicate untagged bank transaction from the feed.

Thank you for that but I were trying to avoid doing it that way. I have allocated refunds that way many times so it must be possible. Hmmmm. Bugger

Check that the invoice are refund are both the same currency.
