Journalling Year End Balances

Hello. I am looking for a way to store the end of year account balance in quickfile and I think the journals are a place to do that. When I did the year end for 24/25, it has created a journal with all the nominal codes. But I want a journal with each of my bank account nominal codes showing the end of year balance. I.e. I want to know the closing balances of my accounts each year without having to look through the transactions with the value callable via an API.

Are the journals the right place for this? Is there another way of storing this value within Quickfile?

You don’t journal your year end asset balances because you don’t want to zero them at the year end - by definition your year end bank balance for one year is your year start balance for the next.

There is Report_BalanceSheet API Schema if you want to extract all your year end (non-P&L) account balances in a single API call.
