Leading apostrophe!

Every time I export a QF CSV file into Excel, all date and number column entries have a leading apostrophe. This stops the Excel cell formatting from working. Please stop QF doing this.

Hi @GaryWilliams

Can I just clarify what export you’re referring to please?

Hi Matthew,

I’m not able to replicate this. Would you mind giving me a few steps to get the export please, to ensure I’m looking at the right place?

I’ve had something similar before with CSV’s downloaded from banking. The date field does have a leading apostrophe, once it is opened in OpenOffice. The CSV itself does not have the apostrophes which I think is where this confusion is coming from. Not sure if Excel also does this, I think it is something to do with date handling/formatting within the spreadsheet software.

Pretty simple find and replace option in excel for one column would remove the issue before upload.
