Have the app feature to take photos take lower resolution images
Typical use case
We have several clients who we have been advising to upload their receipts to receipt hub using the QuickFile app and clicking on the camera to take the photo. They are reaching the daily limit of 52MB pretty quickly as each photo is c.1MB and we then noticed that if you upload the photo from your camera reel the image that is uploaded file is much small eg 160KB. Normally this isn’t an issue but with the first MTD for self employed deadline looming, we suspect many users will be panicking and setting aside a day this month to get everything uploaded to QuickFile for the first full quarter. We know all the work arounds to get the files into receipt hub ourselves but for clients who we have asked to get their receipts on as soon as possible, explaining workarounds isn’t that practical or simple. We were wondering if the app could be improved so that the photo that is taken is of lower resolution and therefore many more receipts can be uploaded in one day. Hope this request makes sense.
