I was wondering if its possible to restrict customer access to the accounts so that individuals can only see documents that apply to them.
For example, When we do estimates for one of our clients, they have many different departments, so we might have 10 different people that would see different estimates…
We don’t want the different departments seeing the other estimates.
So while the accounts department of the company has access to everything, the engineer on the shop floor shouldn’t necessarily need to see the estimate for say the MD’s new office furniture, he only needs to see the estimate say for the work benches.
It appears at the moment, though, that any customer email address linked to the account can login and look at the full history.
At the moment there is a work around by sending all estimates through normal email, but that’s sad given the links that exist within quickfile for the customers online approval and entering customer order numbers etc.
Just a bit of a wish really - not sure how easy or difficult it would be to do that!

It’s not possible at the moment, but we can certainly consider it as future development.
I can’t find any existing feature request threads for this, so we’ll leave this one open for other users to add their comments and votes and happily take a closer look at the feasibility of it if there’s enough interest.

+1 for me. I’m not sure if this is possible, but it would be good to be able to invoice different contacts within the same company and for them to only see their personal accounts history rather than all the invoices sent to that particular company.
