Linked accounts no longer importing invoices

Since the recent changes to the importing of invoices in linked Quickfile accounts, none of our invoices to our customers with linked Quickfile accounts are showing - there is no option to confirm the import

Hi @Ashden

The import process no longer happens automatically. When you send an invoice to your client, your client would click the link to view the invoice as normal. From there, you should see the “Import to QuickFile” option.

The first time you do this you will need to confirm the name of the supplier and nominal etc., but we save this so we know for next time.

Hope this helps.

But my point is that the invoice emails are going to the clients, not us, who do not take this action because they leave all the bookkeeping up to their accountant, us. Therefore where all our invoices used to be automatically entered they no longer are. So your changes have created a huge amount of extra processing for us accountants. Perhaps you should think through the impact on those that are recommending your software before taking this kind of action

The previous system had to be overhauled, it was 8 years old and there were a number of flaws that we needed to address. In the next two weeks we will be adding an auto-import option so that once a user has imported the first invoice a rule will be created instructing all future invoices to be imported in the same way. We’ll update you as soon as this is ready.

@Ashden Just a quick one to let you know that we’ve now introduced an auto-import checkbox. When an invoice is imported from the client account you will now see a checkbox as follows:

There’s also a new report to see which supplier invoices are being auto-imported. We’ll be extending this to also show on the supplier side which clients have enabled this feature.
