Linking HMRC for Making Tax Digital

I have registered for making Tax Digital with HMRC but when I log in to my account I cannot see where I link my Quickfile account?

You can link your HMRC account to QuickFile by going to Reports >> HMRC

That directs me to log in to my HMRC account which I do but then I cannot find anywhere to link the two.

It should take you through the process, by first asking you to confirm that it’s QuickFile you wish to link to, like this:

And then, once you’ve logged in, it will take you through the steps to login and authorise it:

Once this has been done, it will take you back to QuickFile to complete it.

Have you managed to resolve this now?

Not yet. Maybe I still need HMRC to complete their side first as I only applied to move to MTD last week.

You’ll need to wait until you get the confirmation email from HMRC to say that it is all good to go.

Another way of checking is to log into your HMRC account directly and check the MTD status there.
