Logged in but cannot access quickfile

We appear to be able to log into quickfile but once past the initial login screen all we get are connection issues. In chrome this appears as “This Page Is Not Available” / ERR_CONNECTION_RESET.

Edit: In the time it took me to write this there are other bugs being logged that could be the same thing. Please advise once resolved.

Thank you for such a good service that we have used for years and this is the first time we have had technical issues

Same here. we get the login page but it desn’t take us anywhere

I have had a similar issue since just before 3am this morning. Using Safari on a MacBook via different internet providers (to test/diagnostics).
Safari can’t open the page … because server unexpectedly dropped the connection. this is when going to
https://‘my area’.quickfile.co.uk/secure/index.aspx

I can access other internet content so seems to be a problem on the quickfile end, but only on the ‘my area’ as I can access the community.quickfile.co.uk/

It started with not being able to get to the Journal area and then stopped completely, just before 3am.

I also have problems logging in. Can access log in page, but that is as far as it will go. Have tried on several devices, and on different browsers (Chrome, IE)

Page builds but on loading data an error message box is displayed. No message. No records loaded.

The credit control grid loads. But selecting a client or invoice returns a page not available browser message.

Same here. Can’t view previous invoices. Tried creating a new one, and it works but doesn’t seem to save it, can’t preview.

Same here, no invoices shown just an error message. cannot save a new invoice either!! whats going on??

We are looking into this now and should have things back online shortly. I apologies for the issues here and I will provide a fuller explanation later in the day.

UPDATE (08:15)

Things should be coming back online now. We will continue to monitor closely and provide further updates in due course.

UPDATE (17:00)

It seems one of our web servers started dropping connections in the early hours, it appears to have been caused by an OS configuration issue. A simple hard reboot fixed the problem, we did this as soon as we became aware of the issue at around 7:50 am.

We are gradually migrating off this server to a fully load balanced web farm. Those users on the load balancer wouldn’t have been affected. Our aim is to migrate all remaining accounts to the new servers within then next month.

Again we apologise for any disruption caused.
