The customer should be able to configure the dashboard to suit their style of business, for example, our business is a membership model where customers pay a monthly fee by standing order, we do not issue invoices.
So it would be useful to have a display on the dashboard to show this.
We have created a side menu option to display the report for the relevant sales code but it would be nice to have it on the dashboard.
Thank you for your suggestion.
Although you don’t issue invoices, within QuickFile it’s best to record the invoice using invoices in one way or another. You can use different nominal codes to allocate them to different income streams if you wish. Even if you don’t actually issue the invoices, you can create these in bulk, such as “daily takings” or “monthly sales”.
By using invoices, you can benefit from more extensive reporting, and it also allows VAT to be recorded too (although this is also done for prepayments if you’re on cash accounting), and it aids with making tax digital.
Thanks for your reply, At the moment all member’s monthly fees are tagged using rules and posted to a nominal code, invoices can not be allocated to a fee as the membership can decide not to pay for a period.
We are not VAT-registered so the need for recording is eliminated.
We have just started using Quickfile and are finding it very Intuitive and better that our previous software (with a similar name ).
In the future, we will investigate the API option to create a link to a Members database.
