HELP
I submitted my first MTD quarterly report to HMRC yesterday.
I realised I had made a tagging error and my sole trader income and rental income have been merged into one sole trader report.
I called HMRC and they said I need to amend the submission at my end on Quickfile and resubmit. However I cannot work out how to do this! I have tried asking ChatGPT many times but the advice is incorrect.
Please can you tell me how to resubmit a new - corrected - quarterly filing.

Regarding the submission you can’t delete a submitted quarterly update.
Under MTD ITSA, quarterly updates are cumulative, so once you have corrected the bookkeeping (or moved the transactions into the correct QuickFile account if following our recommended approach which I email you earlier), you can simply resubmit the quarterly update for the same obligation.
The latest submission will overwrite the previous one for that quarter.
You don’t need to contact HMRC to remove the original submission.
