MTD income tax trial

I use an affinity account and am trying to do my first MTD for income tax submission for a sole trader who is registered for the pilot with HMRC. I believe I have followed all the steps to link with quickfile but when I go to the client’s Reports > HMRC, I get the following message:

No MTD Enrolled Businesses

We were unable to find any Making Tax Digital (MTD) enrolled businesses associated with this Tax Account. Please follow the HMRC guidance to register your business on the MTD for Income Tax programme.

Do existing Quickfile account holders have to open another Quickfile account to make an MTD income tax submission?

hiiii QuickFile doesn’t show any enrolled businesses because HMRC hasn’t linked the client’s account to MTD yet. The client needs to sign up for the MTD pilot and utilize the right credentials. If the problem keeps happening, HMRC help should check to see if the account is still enrolled…
