I had set MTD ITSA dates to begin from 01/04/2025 and have been submitting quarterly updates which have offered period dates ending on the 5th of the month. I have just checked for 2026/27 (when ITSA actually starts) and my period dates for ITSA are still showing as 6th Month to 5th Month instead of Calendar dates as selected qwhen setting up. From your Help Page it says that the first submissiom is from 6th April to 30th June for Calendar Month submissions, but this is not offered in the 2026/27 submission screen.

HMRC are currently returning an error “Invalid Tax year” when you try and change it so it appears you will not be able to do this until the tax year starts (05/04/2026)
Hi Steve, Having submitted MTD ITSA submissions during 2025/26, should I now change the MTD Start Date to 01/04/2026 for Calendar Year submissions now that MTD ITSA is live?
