MTD VAT return not accessing HMRC

I am preparing a VAT return for submission to HMRC and have connected OK this afternoon til now. Now when I click Create New VAT return I am getting the following response:
“Your tax account authorisation may have expired. Please try to remove the existing link and reconnect on the HMRC Connect Page”

Is this expiration normal and should I follow the link to HMRC Connect Page?

Yes, this is fine. It is not necessarily normal but can happen from time to time if something is changed on HMRC’s side such as a password.

The re-authentication process shouldn’t take you too long though.
