MTD VAT - What information is shared with HMRC?

I would be interested to know what information is shared with HMRC when an account is linked using MTD VAT. I have read that HMRC use API Application Programming Interface to verify the calculations; but do HMRC have access to any further details? Or do they only receive the figures shown on a VAT Return?

Hi @gamnlifestyle HMRC only see the final figures of your VAT return that you send to them. They don’t see the workings unless thee are requested when doing an audit
