I’ve put this question under Support as there wasn’t a subject to cover my query and I had to use something.
I’ve just noticed on an email that’s come through from Quickfile headed ‘Log into your Quickfile account’, that it lists my company, stating me as its owner, then lists another company, that I’ve never heard of, stating that I’m their client. Nowhere in my settings is this company listed (nor should it be), so any ideas as to why it’s showing on an email from Quickfile?
That just means that it’s another company you’ve bought something from in the past, who happen to also use QuickFile for their accounting. When you add an email address to one of your clients in QuickFile it sets them up with a “client” login on your https://yourcompany.quickfile.co.uk dashboard, and the same thing has happened to you on https://theircompany.quickfile.co.uk.
Exactly as @ian_roberts mentions, it’s just another user of QuickFile who has added you as their client.
If you don’t recognise the name, it could be that they use a trading name rather than the name set up on QuickFile.
