Looking to submit my latest VAT return to HMRC via online filing. I have 2 VAT return listed to prepare though, the current one and then one for 1st Nov to 31st Jan 2020. If I go to prepare the latter one it has loads of figures to submit which can’t be right because I haven’t entered in any accounts for the period yet? Some of the figures in that return should be in the current return figures due at end of October!
Please advise why this is happening in my account.

Hi @Paul_Welling,
You need to prepare and submit the returns in order. If you haven’t submitted the previous return then the next one will include all of the transactions that haven’t yet been locked by a return.
