Own domain name with Affinity?

Can you use your own domain name with Affinity?

Hi @pete.karo

Unfortunately you can’t. I’m not sure how technically possible it is (@Glenn may be able to clarify this), but I’ll convert this topic to a feature request for now.

It’s not something we support or plan to support I’m afraid. There would be too many technical hurdles to overcome, e.g. installing 3rd party SSL certificates, reconfiguring our own internal network etc.

Maybe it could be achieved with a Domain Masking or URL Masking technique? You could have a link in your own website that directs the client to the QF login box but the URL at the top appears as one you already own.

Not sure that would work well with SSL. You could possibly hack something using some custom DNS/CNAMES, but if you wanted an easy life I wouldn’t recommend it!

I think you’d need to use CNAMES and then install the SSL certificate on the hosting server (our server). It’s hard enough updating our own SSL certificate when it expires, without having to do this for other users

Thank you all for your replies.
