Hi there,

I’m new to QuickFile - not an accountant, just a sole trader only using the VAT bridging software for the first time to file a return. Pretty sure I’ve set everything up correctly but on uploading the excel or cvs file I get the error message
‘The value in the mapped position for box 1 cannot be parsed.’
The figures I am uploading are just the totals entered into Numbers on a Mac then exported. I’ve tried both excel and cvs exports - both the same errors. I’ve triple-checked the box mapping is correct. Any help would be great. Thanks!

Is it definitely just the number - digits, decimal point and possibly a hyphen for minus numbers - without any thousands separator commas or leading currency symbol?
