Payments received

Hi.

I apologise for these 2 very basic questions.

I’m not using QF to invoice my customers just using email, so how do I actually record the amounts that I’ve now received on to my Dashboard?

Also, I assume that I should be showing those received amounts into my Bank balance on QF as well - again, how do I do that?

If you are just recording receipts then the easiest thing is to use the Cash Register Tool. Configured correctly that will show the money going into your bank account. It is quite simplistic and won’t allow you to distinguish cash, cheques and bank transfers. Do you need to account for VAT or are you unregistered?

Personally I find the main value of QF is the control it gives me over invoicing.
