Hi, just today, since I upgraded to a power user subscription (not sure if that’s relevant) I cannot any longer open .pdf files in my receipt hub. When I click on TAG ME, normally the .pdf file opens in my pdf viewer and I can see what it is and then process it. As of today (as I say, immediately after becoming a power user?) it simply will not open. I have tried the usual re-booting, I have tried telling Firefox to not block any content whatsoever on this site, I have even tried loading another PDF viewer. (So far tried Foxit & Ashampoo PDF Pro).
Really struggling with this one, if you can help it would be appreciated.
I am running Windows 7 Ultimate on a desktop with 12GB of memory, no other programmes are running.
Lee.
Hi @Lee_Hallard,
I can’t imagine this has anything to do with the fact that you’ve upgraded to Power User today. I think that is just an unlucky coincidence.
Have you tried using a different web browser to see if that works? it may be a plug in has stopped working?
Hi Beth.
Thank you for getting back to me so quickly.
I accessed my account through Internet Explorer (rather than Firefox as usual) and yes, this worked.
At least I now know where the problem lies & can look towards correcting the issue, as I really don’t wish to stop using Firefox.

Hi all.
Since my last post I have found the correct solution to this problem. At least in Firefox anyway.
Go to the top right corner in any Firefox window and press the menu (three horizontal lines).
In the dropdown box, go to ‘Options’.
In the Options screen, scroll down until you see the ‘Applications’ box.
Look for the ‘Portable Document Format (PDF)’ line to the right it should say something like ‘Use Foxit Reader 9.1 (default)’ or whatever your default PDF reader is. If it says ‘Save File’ , ‘Always ask’ or something similar, just alter this in the dropdown box to whatever your default PDF programme is.
Close down Firefox and restart.
