Please add rotation to Receipt hub

Hi Quickfile,

I have started using the Receipt Hub. Thank you for such a great feature. I have a quick request though, can you add “rotate image” to the options?

What ever way the image is taken it always seems to upload on its side when I need it rotated 90 degrees. This means that I spend have my time with a crooked neck as I try to read the receipt and tag it.

Thanks

Gavin

Hi @Gavin_Smith

Thank you for the request. I’ll leave this thread open and we will monitor the interest in this feature. If there’s enough interest, we’ll happily explore it in more detail.

What are you uploading them with? Can you not just rotate as you send them?

I am using android phone and saving to Dropbox so that it is auto-uploaded. There is no function to rotate at this point.

Where do the images come from?

We have used the receipt uploads feature extensively over the last 6mths - probably one of my favourite features :grinning:.

As an android user I can whole heartedly recommend the app ‘CamScanner’

It is very useful and works effortlessly with creating a .PDF and → Dropbox import. There is a free and paid version available for a couple of £’s.

You can rotate the image within the app and also tweak the brightness/crop off unwanted space etc. So far it has been pretty faultless and the uploads to Dropbox → Quickfile have all gone through swimmingly.

Once set up and comfortable with using it, if you’re like me you’ll be taking all sorts of images and sharing them all over the place!

For example I recently started using mine to create .PDF’s of our electricity meter on a monthly basis and then mail to our landlord for an invoice - whole process takes 30sec tops and I’ve got an archive on Dropbox for my records in case there’s a query.

Thank you John,

I’ll give that a shot and see.

Kind Regards,

Gavin

Your welcome - It’s really straight forward to set up, but If you need any help with using it feel free to send me a msg and I’ll try and help.

Best wishes,

John,

I can certainly say using CamScanner is perfect in conjunction with Quickfile. I have been using it for over a year now and it is great.
