Currently staff use Monzo to raise invoices on site and they can print them off as PDF files with mobile printers and issue the paper invoice directly to the client. Many clients are elderly and prefer this due to having no ability to access or utilise emails. This is a two click option and has worked satisfactorily for both staff and client. However, I want to utilise QF as the invoice creator and not Monzo as it makes my back-office situation more controlled and secure.
The issue is that the QF App does not allow direct printing, preferably as a PDF, of the invoice and the staff must email it to themselves and print it out to the client. This is an unacceptable option and is stopping the full utilisation of QF. They want to be able to raise and issue the invoice straight from the app like Monzo app does. This allows preview of the invoice raised in PDF format and the option to print and issue directly.
I would appreciate this option being added to the QF app so staff can raise, preview, modify if needed, then print directly to a printer, in our case as a PDF for their mobile thermal printers. Additionally doing this would change the status of the invoices to sent.
I am sure I am not the only company that needs this simple couple of clicks method when using the QF app for client facing processes that feeds back to the main QF product back in the office.
This is available in the mobile app already. If you view a sales invoice and tap on the 3 dots in the top right corner, and select View as PDF, it will open as a PDF for you to then download and do with as you wish (e.g. print, email externally, etc.)
As long as the device itself supports printing from a PDF, this should work.
Hi Mathew, this would appear to be only available to view as PDF but with no download facility. I could take a screenshot of the PDF but the quality is rubbish and the time to print is minutes instead of seconds. Ideally, what my staff require is to view as PDF and then print direct from the view as PDF screen which a) prints direct to mobile printer or file and b) changes status of invoice to ‘sent’. I am sure I am not the only person wanting this. My staff produce invoices in front of the client, and they do not like having to mess around with multiple screens etc.
I appreciate it’s a man management thing but it’s the old cliche ‘Time is Money’ and some are paid by the number of jobs they do in a day and it’s frustrating them having to spend time manoeuvring around screens and apps when as previously in Monzo they create invoice, view and print which is 3 clicks.
Many Thanks,
Andy
The first image is from a test version of the software currently being rolled out.
50% of users currently have it. It will go out to a further 25% of users next week and the remainder the week after.
Unfortunately the rollout process is automated and has already begun so I can not see where you are in the lists. Hopefully you will be in the next batch for next week if not you will have the update the week after.
