Printing Current Account Transactions

I had to manually reconcile the bank account to the Quickfile transactions and to do so I had to print out the transactions in the current account. This was really difficult as there is no option in the menu to print the bank account transactions. Instead I had to copy and paste using the Microsoft Snipping Tool which, due to the layout of the Quickfile account, meant that the numbers were so small they were almost unreadable. Is there some way to print out pages of transactions so they can be read easily. The reports for P&L and BS print out really well but the bank transactions are a nightmare.

Hello @MartinJ

You can print out the bank transactions using the Reports > Chart of accounts > Export (detailed) button.

You can also get copies of all the bank transactions from your backup (a collection of CSV files of each of the ledgers and bank accounts).

Thanks QFSteve but that is not what I need. I need a printout of all the transactions on the Bank Current Account for given periods of time (say, one month or two) with Date, Reference, Money Out, Money In and Balance.

As far as I can see what you suggest would give me reams of information on all nominal ledger accounts or at least the main categories.

Hello Martin

The nominal export would give you Date Description and Debit/Credit for a date range you specify in the Chart of Account screen

The backup would give you a csv for each bank account showing DATE",“REFERENCE”,“NOTES”,“MONEY IN”,“MONEY OUT”,“TAG STATUS” and contains all your data.

The data can then be filtered in Excel (or similar) by date

Thanks Steve, I found another way of getting the data which may be of use to other users. Initially I used the Edge browser’s own print option and managed to print data from the current account with the exception of the reference field. I used Portrait as the print output. Then I tried printing in Landscape and the Reference field was included so I had all the info I needed. Funny that the Edge browser’s own Print function removed one of the fields in Portrait mode.
