Problem setting up new account

Recently set up an account for a client, but when I returned to log in my login credentials were not accepted.

Tried to recover password but was told the email I used to set up the account did not exist

Thinking that I had made a mistake originally, I then proceeded to re-do the set up.

Could not use the original name as it was already taken and subsequently discovered that the original email existed although the system said it didn’t exist when I tried to recover my password

Any ideas anyone please ?
