QuickBooks TB import - no Nominal Code in CSV file, import fails

Hi, the QB TB CSV file doesn’t contain a nominal ledger code, so the nominal code drop down can’t be assigned to a column number. I have followed the instructions provided for generating the QB TB CSV file and for importing it but I can’t get any further. Please advise how I should proceed. TIA.

This is a QuickFile help forum, not Quickbooks … however I also use Quickbooks so:

You could manually enter nominal codes in your csv file, using the Quickfile Chart of Accounts as a guide. Or you can “switch on” account/nominal codes in Quickbooks and then re-run the TB. When you export the trial balance it should then include nominal codes.
In QB, go to Settings > Account and Settings > Advanced. Under “Chart of Accounts” you need to enable account numbers.
