I currently use Quicken deluxe software to submit my VAT returns , It allows me to complete Box 1 to 9 with supporting detailed documents itemising every transaction with date , net amount , vat amounts , and total transaction amount. However i don’t think ts it MTD compatible , would I be able to submit my records to Quickfile in the current format for you to to submit them to HMRC in tha approved format ?
If Quicken is able to export a CSV or spreadsheet with the final VAT box totals then QuickFile has a “bridging” module which lets you upload that spreadsheet and submit the numbers to HMRC. You can’t enter the figures by hand because that in itself would not be MTD compliant, but exporting a CSV from one package and uploading it into another counts as a “digital link”.
