A number of my clients including myself are having difficulties accessing the camera option with the App. It no longer open the camera to snap a receipt and instead goes to the photo library. I deleted and reinstalled the app and the same issue remains. This was on a Iphone. Any ideas?
Hello @Aspyre_Accountancy
Just to clarify, does the app have permission to use the camera in the iPhone settings?
Yes all permissions granted.
Hello @Aspyre_Accountancy
Are you able to check the version numbers of the app you and your clients are using?
I am using v2.0.90.294 but as i said I deleted a version and then downloaded an new one .
Hello @Aspyre_Accountancy
We have had no other reports of this today and I can not replicate the issue on my end.
Can you please go into Settings > Apps > QuickFile and provide a screenshot of the settings
(EDIT) If it has Limited access to photos, it wont open the camera and will open the camera roll with a message similar to this.
I was contacted by a client this morning with the issue and then using my iphone I had an issue too.
No that you prompted me to look at the settings it says limited access and it needed to be full access. So when I changed it it worked.
However as it was working before it appears to be one of the unknown reason why something changes when no one can remember a change I will speak with my client and ask him to change to full access and come back to you.
Hi
We have exact same issues. Camera toggle is on, only opening photos.
tried log out/in
restart the phone

I have the same issue following a recent update. I don’t like giving full access to my photos, is it possible to revert to the previous settings?
Hello @Cheryl-Bell
This was a change implemented by Apple, unfortunately, it is not possible to revert back
