Quickfile end of year accounts checkbox

The Quickfile checkbox for end of year accounts “My company was enrolled on a payroll (PAYE) scheme during the above mentioned period”

Does this mean:

a) My company [started using] a payroll (PAYE) scheme during the above mentioned period

or b) My company used a payroll (PAYE) scheme during the above mentioned period [that it had started to use before the above mentioned period]

If your company was enrolled on a PAYE scheme during this time (either prior to the period, registered or deregistered during the period), then you should tick this box.

So if you have used PAYE at any point during the period you’re looking at, then the box should be ticked.

OK thanks maybe it’s just me but i would update your question as per your response. To me “enrolled” can be the act of entering (I enrolled into university in Jan 2019) into or having entered into (i was enrolled in university from 2016 - 2019) so the question is ambiguous.

Perhaps “My company used a payroll (PAYE) scheme during the above mentioned period” would be better.
