Love Quickfile and finding it very easy to get on with as a user with very minimal bookkeeping experience. One feature that would be very useful, and I have not been able to find on Quickfile so far is a price book facility. A set of standard items with part numbers, description, sale price and ideally a cost price so margins can be seen. but obviously no by the recipient of the quote. Is there a way to do this? Or is it something on the road map?
We do have an inventory system that will allow you to quickly catalogue upto 1000 products and services. This is not a full stock control system just a fairly basic way to template invoices with commonly sold items so you don’t need to continually rewrite them. It will allow you to store the price and, typical qty and description but it won’t calculate margins which is really in the stock control domain.
We don’t have any plans to develop a full stock-control system but we would explore the possibility of integrating with pre-existing systems. It seems however the choice is fairly limited right now for good cloud based stock control.
This is just what I was looking for. I don’t need stock control. I’m surprised I didn’t find this feature myself. Makes me wonder what else I have missed?
