Hello,
Please suggest, if I imported 100 pcs of inventory item, deliver it to my stock and then sell 50 pcs to my customer and the rest 50 pcs are still on my stock, how should I write it correctly? I need to write 100 pcs had been received, then 50 pcs were shipped out and the rest 50 pcs we still have on the stock.
These 100 pcs of one item were imported, should I use the “Imported Materials” category or is it fine to stick with General Purchases?
Hello @Andriy_Alyeksyeyev
Generally if you are purchasing items you would use a purchase code.
The stock codes are generally used for stock journals for accurate balance sheet reporting.
If you are unsure I would reccomend checking with you accountant for professional advice.

Hello,
Do you use some Stock/Inventory Control software ?
Hello @QFSteve,
Thanks for your suggestion. Does this stock journal able to be linked to our purchases/sales to update the stock quantities?
Hello @Fauxman24,
We doesn`t use any now, checking the options to stick on
No, as QuickFile does not have any sort of stock control functionality. it is only interested in the monetary values for your accounts.
Hello Andriy. Stockpile software is very basic and FREE. It does NOT connect to any accounting software. Reports are available to run giving Sales & Profit figures by product for the dates selected.I use these to these figures for my Cost of Sales Journal in Quickfile. The reports can be exported to Excel if you want to.
See www.thecanvus.com
Thanks @Fauxman24 I`ll check it
Unfortunately it means entering all your Quickfile Sales Invoice details into Stockpile but we find it very effective for keeping the stock figure in the QF Balance
Sheet correct for financial reporting.

Please share some video manuals if you have any
If you go to www.thecanvus.com then select Demos or Tutorials from the black line you get some screen shots
If you wish to email me direct now about this as it no longer concerns Quickfile please contact on dbyard@btinternet.com
