I sometimes have to record multiple small cash receipts i.e. cash collected from several individuals at a time for attendance at one of my classes. I don’t want to have to create an invoice for each one. Normally using other software I have been able to create “sales receipts” for this kind of thing. I can’t find an equivalent in Quickfile. The only solution I have found so far is to create a journal DR cash, CR sales. But unfortunately the items don’t then appear in the sales summary on the dashboard. Can anybody advise me on a solution for this? Is there a sales receipt option that I have missed somewhere?
Create one invoice for the total amount against a client called something like “cash sales” and mark that as paid into the “cash” account. That’s what I do for the takings when I sell at a market.

Hi Ian
Thanks for the suggestion. Yes, I think that would be a better idea than what I’d been doing with journals because then it will show in my sales report.
